Clean Fuels: Wisconsin
In 2007, Wisconsin was home to the top-selling E85 station in the nation and, no doubt, one of the prettiest (pictured at left). The Renew station, owned by Utica energy, is generally known as the top E85 sites in the U.S. Additionally, Wisconsin is nearing the 100 E85 retail station mark. The increased amount of E85 available in the state allows more people to make the Clean Air Choice™.
Another Clean Air Choice now available to Wisconsin is biodiesel. With 25 biodiesel distributors and 15 biodiesel retailers, diesel engine owners can now use biodiesel. The Wisconsin Biodiesel Association and the Wisconsin's Office of Energy Independence have a vision to create a readily accessible network of retail outlets. Through the hard work and dedication of organizations, state departments, biodiesel producers, marketers, and distributors, Wisconsin citizens will be able to benefit economically, environmentally, and most of all, see health benefits throughout the state.
