Solutions for
climate change
and air quality

Now’s the time to adopt cleaner fuels and energy sources for our environment

Your fuel and energy choices make a difference—for yourself, your community and your world.

Fossil fuels are a leading source of air pollution that can lead to lung disease, respiratory illness, and premature death. Criteria pollutants, such as particulate matter, ground-level ozone and other toxins that originate from transportation and energy sources, harm our health and environment. Common greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide and methane, also contribute to climate change, a serious threat to human health.

There is no silver bullet or single solution to reduce our exposure to harmful air pollutants. That’s why the American Lung Association’s Department of Clean Air Initiatives encourages multiple alternative fuels and energy sources to address these challenges through our award-winning Clean Air Choice® program.

Now’s the time to learn more about better choices for cleaner air and a healthier future.

Clean Air Choice can help.
