SUMMARY:EPA Clean School Bus Program: Grants Information & Listening Session
DESCRIPTION:Authorized by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law\, EPA’s Clean School Bus Program provides $5 billion over five years to replace school buses with low- and zero-emission school buses. The second funding opportunity under this program will be the FY 2023 Clean School Bus Grants. \nEPA wants to hear from you on how to build its Clean School Bus Grants Program. Please come prepared to share your feedback on the program\, including: \n1. What type of support do you need to plan for\, apply for\, and implement a CSB grant?\n2. How can the CSB Grant Program address gaps in the 2022 CSB Rebate Program?\n3. What is the minimum or maximum number of buses school districts want to fund under a single grant award?\n4. The legislation allows EPA to give priority to applicants that leverage outside resources. Are school districts able to contribute financial resources to grant projects?\n5. Are there eligible applicants\, such as nonprofit associations or eligible contractors (i.e.\, bus dealers) with the resources to implement grant projects that will serve multiple school districts and/or private bus fleets? \nFor more information\, please visit our website: epa.gov/cleanschoolbus \nIf you have any feedback\, please email: cleanschoolbus@epa.gov\nOct 5\, 2022 01:00 PM in Eastern Time

SUMMARY:AFC Public Engagement Meeting- Rochester
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT) Office of Sustainability & Public Health will host multiple in-person conversations statewide about nominating roads as Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs).  AFCs are a national network of plug-in electric vehicle (EV) charging\, as well as hydrogen\, propane\, and natural gas fueling infrastructure along national highway system corridors. MnDOT wants input from community members on the future corridors and what roads\, if any\, to nominate. The Southeast Minnesota AFC public engagement meeting will take place April 14\, from 1:30-3:30 pm\, at the MnDOT Rochester Headquarters (2900 48th Street NW\, Rochester\, MN 55901). Attendee registration is not required\, and MnDOT will use the same agenda at all locations. \nBackground\nThe U.S. DOT AFC Nominations process started under the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST) Act in 2015. It was modified under the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Minnesota currently has two roads designated as AFCs for Electric Vehicles: I-94 and I-35. This designation is important for determining how to spend federal IIJA funds on charging stations\, including the numbers\, type\, etc. \nRound 6 of nominations happened between February and May 2022\, with a focus on DC Fast Chargers and Interstates. The Federal Highway Administration has not released the criteria for the upcoming Round 7 yet\, but they will likely release the criteria in the first half of 2023. \nAgenda\n-Review the current status of the Minnesota Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan. \n-Discuss the pros and cons of designating additional roads as AFCs. \n-Understand the capacity and interest of communities and utilities in various levels of EV charging. \nMnDOT invites and encourages participation from everyone at the meetings. If you need an ASL or foreign language interpreter\, documents in an alternative format\, or any other reasonable accommodation for this event\, please email Janet Miller (ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us) or call 651-366-4720.
