SUMMARY:Fall 2026 Internship-Minnesota Clean Cities Coalition
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Clean Cities Coalition\, coordinated by the American Lung Association in Minnesota\, is seeking an intern for a paid position working hybrid for a 15-week period from approximately Sept 8\, 202 – Dec 2026 to be hosted in St. Paul. Argonne National Laboratory offers internships through the Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program to support local Clean Cities and Communities Coalitions. \nPosition Description: \nThis part-time paid position will require the student to work a hybrid schedule. The student will work to educate and engage users of alternative fuel vehicles (E85\, biodiesel\, electric\, natural gas and others) through data analysis\, virtual/in-person events\, communications\, initiatives and other forms of outreach. Project workplan will depend on student experience and strengths. \nUnder supervision the intern will: \n\nAssist staff with support of virtual and/or in-person events during the 15-week period including alternative fuel workshops and trainings\, electric vehicle outreach and station education.\nManage and collect data for report on electric vehicle adoption\nDevelop newsletter articles and help manage social media content.\nAnalyze survey data from events\nComplete activity reports and other paperwork as required\n\nQualifications: \nPreference given to candidates with: \n\nAbility to work both in-person & remotely\nUndergraduate in Junior or Senior year or graduate student\nBackground in natural or social sciences including environmental\, marketing/graphic design\, public relations\, health education\nAbility to prioritize\, multi-task and remain flexible with work activities and schedule\nCompetent in Microsoft Word\, PowerPoint\, Excel\, Outlook\nAbility to work some evenings and weekends\n\nCompensation: \n\nPart-time position (15-20 hours per week)\nPay rate: based on undergrad or graduate level\nPosition is grant funded and is dependent upon availability of funds\n\nApplication Procedure: \nCover letter must address related jobs\, responsibilities and relevant experience \nPlease send cover letter & resume to: Lisa Thurstin at 651-223-9568 or lisa.thurstin@lung.org \nDeadline to apply: August 19\, 2026

SUMMARY:Eco Experience Building at the Minnesota State Fair
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Minnesota State Fair begins on August 27 and runs through Labor Day on September 7. \nBetween food-on-a-stick\, giant pumpkins and the Miracle of Life Birth Center\, come visit the Eco Experience Building to see and learn about EVs from dealers and MN EV owner volunteers. The Eco Experience is a huge exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair\, filled with hands-on activities\, demonstrations and resources. \nOn site at the Eco Experience\, visitors can see and interact with: \n• Subaru Trailseeker from White Bear Acura Subaru\n• Pre-owned Chevy Equinox EV from Rosedale Chevrolet\n• RGNT motorcycle\n• Charging station demonstrations\n• Electric landscape equipment\n• Electric bikes \nOutside on the west side of the Eco Experience building\, visitors can see the Red Lake Nation electric school bus\, along with an EV bucket truck from Xcel Energy near at the front of the building. \nAlongside numerous daily events and presentations in the Eco experience\, here are some that may interest those curious about alternative fuels in Minnesota: \n• Thursday\, August 27\, 2 pm: Embracing Clean Energy and Healthy Learning Environments at Red Lake School District\n• Friday\, September 4\, 12 pm: EV Owners Panel at the Sustainability Stage \nCome watch the daily fair parade on August 28 and 29 at 2 pm to see a variety of electric vehicles! \nFind the best way to attend with Get Here | Minnesota State Fair.
