DESCRIPTION:The North Dakota Clean Cities Coalition\, coordinated by the American Lung Association in Minnesota\, is seeking an intern for a paid position working remotely for a 14-week period from approximately September 11\, 2023 – December 22\, 2023 to be hosted either remotely or in the St. Paul office. The intern will have the option to continue the internship into spring 2024 at 20 hours per week and summer 2024 at 40 hours per week. Argonne National Laboratory offers internships through the Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program to support local Clean Cities Coalitions. \nPosition Description: \nThis part-time\, 20 hours per week paid position will require the student to work either remotely\, in-person\, or a hybrid schedule. The student will work to educate and engage users of alternative fuel vehicles (E85\, biodiesel\, electric\, natural gas and others) through data analysis\, virtual events\, communications\, Environmental Justice initiatives\, and other forms of outreach. All regions and local networking groups have dedicated NAFA staff support\, eliminating the volunteers’ administrative burdens of the past including bookkeeping responsibilities\, marketing events\, filing reports and tax returns\, paying event expenses and deposits. You can now spend your time focusing on the most important pieces of local engagement! \nAll members are eligible to serve on the local networking group – regardless of how long you have been in fleet\, or if you are a fleet manager or supplier. We value differing backgrounds to better serve all NAFA members. \nAn informational webinar will take place on November 14 at 1 p.m. CT where Marci McNeal\, NAFA Regional Engagement Manager and Aaron Cisewski\, current local networking group volunteer will answer questions and review past activities of the group.
