SUMMARY:Climate Pollution Reduction Grants Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program will provide flexible support grants to states\, territories\, tribes\, air pollution control agencies\, and local governments to develop and implement plans for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful air pollution. Projects should further goals and policies for clean and efficient energy.  This includes deploying technologies and solutions like clean fuels that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful air pollutants. \nThe CPRG is a two-stage program – with $250 million in noncompetitive planning grants coming as soon as early March 2023. This will be followed by $4.6 billion of competitive implementation grants at a later date. \nEPA is hosting a webinar on the CPRG program on February 15 from 1:00-2:00 pm. The webinar will be an introductory overview of the program; the registration link is below. EPA will hold additional webinars with more detailed information once the official funding announcement is released. \nREGISTER

DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is hosting an online info session on February 22\, 2023\, at 2:00 pm on their heavy-duty diesel vehicle and transit bus replacement grant.  \nThe agency currently has approximately $2 million in grant funding available to reduce emissions\, improve air quality\, and enhance public health by replacing older\, higher-emission diesel vehicles with newer\, lower-emission models. New trucks and buses have cleaner emissions\, better fuel economy\, and require less maintenance than older vehicles.
