Joint Office of Energy and Transportation (Joint Office) announced the $51 million Ride and Drive Electric funding opportunity to support the rapid transition to electrified transportation and propel private sector investments in clean transportation.
Concept paper deadline: June 16, 2023
The Ride and Drive Electric funding opportunity will enhance electric vehicle (EV) charging resilience, provide equitable access and opportunity in electrification through community-driven models for EV charging deployment and workforce development, and improve EV charging performance and availability. Specific topics included in this funding opportunity are below.
Topics include:
- Topic 1: Enhancing EV charging resiliency
- Topic 2A: Community-driven models for electric vehicle charging deployment
- Topic 2B: Workforce development
- Topic 3A: Increasing commercial capacity for testing and certification of high-power electric vehicle chargers
- Topic 3B: Validating public EV charging infrastructure real-world performance and reliability
The submission due date for concept papers is June 16, 2023. Only applicants who have submitted an eligible concept paper will be eligible to submit a full application. The submission due date for full applications is July 28, 2023.
