The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has $1 million available for grants to support the replacement of older off-road diesel vehicles and equipment.

Equipment eligible for replacement include drayage trucks; locomotives; marine engines; transport refrigeration units; and diesel powered engines, equipment and vehicles used in construction,
handling of cargo (including at ports and airports), agriculture, mining, or energy production (including stationary generators and pumps).  Depending on the engine or equipment, full vehicle replacement or engine retrofits may qualify.

Eligible replacement vehicles and equipment include those powered by diesel or clean alternative fuel engines (including gasoline), electric generators (gensets), hybrid engines, and zero tailpipe emissions power sources (grid, battery or fuel cell).

Deadline to apply: December 1, 2021

MPCA will hold an information webinar about the funding opportunity on September 22nd, 2021 at 2pm CT. A recording should be available after that time as well.
