Thinking about buying an electric vehicle (EV)? Already own one but still have questions? Planning your first EV road trip and want to feel more confident? EV Basics is designed to help participants understand the key differences between electric and gas-powered vehicles and build confidence in everyday EV use. The course covers what to consider when purchasing an EV, home and public charging for daily driving, how to use DC fast chargers, and how to plan longer trips. Instructor Stuart Henry, one of the coalition’s newest individual members, will host this two-session class on March 4 and March 11 through Minneapolis Public Schools Community Education.
-
Session 1 (Online): A two-hour Zoom class covering EV basics, ownership considerations, and charging fundamentals.
-
Session 2 (In Person): A hands-on experience at a DC fast-charging location where participants will practice charging using instructor vehicles and build real-world confidence, followed by a coffee shop Q&A.
