NDCC is excited to announce our participation in the Charging Infrastructure Interconnection Simplification Resource (CIISR), a project sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. CIISR is designed to support small fleets and multi-family housing (MFH) properties, particularly those in disadvantaged communities, as they navigate the transition to electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

As part of CIISR, the Electric Power Research Institute has published two new reports offering actionable insights for utilities, fleets, and MFH operators:

  1. Simplifying Utility Service Connections for Small Fleet and Multi-Family Housing EV Charging: Explores customer-focused barriers and identifies opportunities to streamline EVSE energization timelines for businesses and MFH properties with limited resources.
  2. A Grid Connection Roadmap for Utilities to Support Small EV Customers: Outlines 44 practical solutions utilities can implement to accelerate service connections and better serve smaller fleets and MFH properties.
