2025 Minnesota Tribal Traffic Safety Summit

This summit is designed to bring together traffic safety professionals, invested stakeholders, and community members to provide education and raise awareness of crash-related injuries and deaths affecting Minnesota’s Tribal communities. The event also aims to identify strategies that will prevent serious and fatal injury crashes from occurring on Tribal lands and impacting Tribal communities.

There will be optional training on Monday, March 24, including an EV Vehicle Training 1:00–5:00 p.m.

Safety and Security Consultation Specialists, LLC (SASCS), a first responder training company based out of southern Minnesota. In the past 10 years, SASCS has grown to become one of the largest fire training companies in Minnesota. It carries Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education approval and all our instructors are Pro-Board and IFSAC accredited.

The course will cover the following topic areas:

  • Types of electric vehicles
  • Electric vehicle emergency response – EV crash and EV fire response
  • Shutting down/disabling an EV
  • Emergency responder safety
  • Dispelling EV response myths
